If you’re seeking quality plants at bargain prices you should visit Outlook’s new plant nursery – “Outlook Greenery” in Toomuc Valley Rd Pakenham.
Outlook has operated a production nursery open to the public since 1995, but now has opening a retail shop on site, complete with a range of garden supplies and a mini-café.
This has been made possible through a grant from the Cardinia Foundation whose assistance made the redevelopment achievable.
More than 300 of the most popular garden plants including fruit trees, flowering and foliage plants, natives and exotics are available – all at very low prices.
While the nursery generates funding
to run Outlook’s important programs
and services, it also provides a vital
stepping stone for people with
disabilities into the world of paid
employment.
One of Outlooks many success stories
is 21 year old Michael Cunningham
who has achieved his third year of a
horticultural traineeship at Outlook.
Michael enjoys getting up bright and
early to ride his bike to work. “I really
like coming to work. I like doing the
potting the best, but all the jobs
are ok”
The Outlook Greenery nursery is open
daily from 8.30-5pm in “The Barn” at
Outlook 24 Toomuc Valley Rd,
Pakenham. Ph: 5941 1535
