Shannons Charity Car Show

2005 saw the launch of a chrome-plated fundraising success story with about 130 classic cars, bikes and boats on show by the lake at the Cardinia Cultural Centre with this amount doubling in 2006.

Exhibitors came from all over Melbourne for the show, with everything from a 1904 Ford to late model Ferraris, drag boats and classic motorcycles.

Visitors could also watch motorsport and cult car films and in the theatre, take a spin in a driving simulator or enjoy a variety of children’s rides. Entry was by donation, with admissions, food and beer sales and raffle profits going to the Cardinia Foundation.

This incredible event couldn’t have happened without the sponsors and volunteer workers who donated their time, money, expertise and food and drink to ensure maximum profit went to the foundation and back out to the community.
